"While originally from Baltimore, MD, both sides of my family are from Honolulu, HI. I completed my undergraduate studies at Whittier College in Southern California (BA in Comparative Cultures), and my graduate studies at San Jose State University (M.Ed in Educational Counseling) in the SF Bay area. From 2007-2019 I was an Academic Advisor at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, CA and enjoyed serving undergraduate students heading in a myriad of directions ranging from Studio Art to Engineering, and everything in between. I had the privilege of teaching and working with First-Generation college students through 2-credit seminars and appreciated the time spent guiding and learning from them.
My family and I arrived in Bellingham, WA in June 2019 and have come to appreciate all Bellingham has to offer, including out-of-this-world access to the outdoors! I have also come to appreciate Western Washington University and the range of communities that call it home. I am excited to meet and work with students, new and returning, and look forward to our time spent together!
Hobbies/Interests: Spending time with my kids, listening to/discovering new music, reading, discovering and consuming many types of media, social justice issues, and importantly, learning and having fun
